Laura saw yellow plumes of goldenrod in Kansas , many-colored morning glories growing around the dugout on Plum Creek in Minnesota and tiger lilies on the edge of the Big Slough in Dakota Territory . In June Laura saw the wild roses that bloomed pink in the prairie grasses. When she and Almanzo had a baby daughter, they named her Rose. |
