-From On the Banks of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder Who better to celebrate the holidays with than Laura Ingalls Wilder? Following in a tradition of more than two decades, the Hoover Museum hosted a temporary holiday exhibit - A Little House Christmas - twenty trees decorated in themes from the famous books themselves. It was particularly appropriate to use trees as the motif to display various holiday themes from these precious books. As Laura herself wrote in "On the Banks of Plum Creek", she was stunned by the beauty of her first tree. This past exhibit featured twenty such trees decorated with ornaments that highlight life on the frontier.
