William Jefferson Blythe IV was never granted a chance to meet his father, who was killed in an auto accident before his birth. His mother's second marriage to Roger Clinton was plagued by alcoholism and abuse. But at age 14, Bill confronted his step-father and ended the violence. Only then did he take the name of Clinton.

Following a Rhodes scholarship to Oxford University, Bill attended Yale Law School where he met and married Hillary Rodham. He served five terms as Governor of Arkansas before running for the presidency.

President Clinton's record of expanded social programs and world peace efforts were stained by political and personal scandals. He was impeached and accused of perjury and obstruction of justice, but was found not guilty by the Senate. Today, Bill Clinton works in New York as he maintains a high profile role in the Democratic Party, while supporting the political activities of his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton.
