There is a new fee policy for special programming and events held at Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum. Programs held in the Figge Auditorium during regular business hours will be free with paid Museum admission. This change will not affect events staged outside the building, Hoover Hometown Days, Summer Movie Nights and Christmas Past.

Author George Nash speaking on his newly released book, The Crusade Years, 1933-1955. It recounts Hoover’s family life after March 4, 1933, his myriad philanthropic interests, and, most of all, his unrelenting “crusade against collectivism” in American life.
America's First Ladies
April 19 - October 26, 2014
Celebrate America's First Ladies with an exhibit featuring items from select women who have served in that role. Items on display will include: a suit from Hillary Clinton worn at Nelson Mandela's inauguration, Grace Coolidge's Girl Scout Uniform and a ring of Martha Washington's.
Kites Over Hoover Park
April 26-27, 2014, 10 am - 3 pm
180 Go! is a dedicated team of quad-line stunt kite fliers. They fly their kites in dynamic formations and perform aerial maneuvers--all choreographed to music--providing an experience that engages spectators of all ages. Read more.

Eastern Iowa Brass Band

Eastern Iowa Brass Band will perform a concert on the front lawn of the Hoover Museum. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. In case of inclement weather concert will be held in the Hoover Auditorium.

Annette Dunlap

The Politics of Fashion by Annette Dunlap. The first lady's fashion choices are political - the president is viewed through the lens of his policies and the first lady is viewed through he lens of the image she projects. Dunlap is an independent scholar and North Carolina-based freelance writer and author.
