Celebrate 50 Years!
April 21 - October 28, 2012

The Museum celebrates 50 years with:
Creating the Legacy: 50 Years of the Hoover Library-Museum
Dining with the President
Ideas of Lincoln and Hoover
Three Illinois Women during the Civil War
June 1, 2012, 12:00 p.m.

Betty Carlson Kay will perform a 40 minute show portraying three women during the Civil War. The cost for this is $25 and includes a catered lunch, the presentation, an autographed copy of The Civil War from A to Z: Two Points of View by Kay and free admission to the museum galleries. CSI: Investigating Hoover

Movie Nights, Wednesday Evenings
July 11 - August 15, 2012

Free admission beginning at 5 p.m. and a feature length movie from 1962 to celebrate our 50 year anniversary. Movies will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday July 11,18, 25 and August 1, 8, and 15.

Hoover's Hometown Days
August 3-4, 2012
A celebration throughout the town of West Branch, the Hoover National Park, the Hoover Association and the Hoover Museum. Hooverball, entertainment, food and fireworks.
50th Anniversary Celebration

August 10, 1962 the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum was dedicated. Free admission to the museum and anniversary cake served to all!
Recalling 50 Years: An Afternoon of Conversations, August 11, 2012 1:00 p.m. Free program open to the public featuring former directors John Fawcett, Richard Norton Smith and Timothy Walch.
A Cowboy Christmas
November 17, 2012- January 2, 2013

An exhibit featuring 20 trees decorated to cowboy themes.

Christmas Past Weekend
November 30 - December 2, 2012

Music, horse-drawn rides, food and entertainment at the Hoover Museum, Hoover Historic Site and throughout the town of West Branch.
