The Museum is open 7 days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the exception of New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The Hoover Museum Gift Shop is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily.
The Research Room is open from 8:45 a.m. to noon and 12:30 - 4:45 p.m. and is closed on weekends and federal holidays.
West Branch is a small town of about 2200 located 10 miles east of Iowa City on Interstate 80. The Library and Historic Site are immediately north of Exit 254. The nearest airports are the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (about 30 miles north-west of West Branch) and Quad City International in Moline, Illinois (about 60 miles east of West Branch). Most researchers choose to stay in Iowa City/Coralville, which is the nearest metropolitan area about 10 miles from West Branch. For detailed visitor information, you may wish to visit the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau website, http://www.iowacitycoralville.org. Their website includes information about accommodations, dining and attractions, and includes maps of Iowa City and Coralville. Almost all accommodations in Iowa City and Coralville are near the Interstate, and are therefore only 10 to 20 minutes from West Branch.

The Museum is located 1/4 mile off I-80 at Exit 254, just 10 miles east of Iowa City and 50 miles west of the Quad Cites.
Adults (ages 16 - 61): $10.00
Seniors, Active/Retired Military with ID and College Students with ID: $5.00
Ages 6 - 15: $3.00

Groups of 15 or more may call ahead and request a guided tour. A 22 minute biography of Herbert Hoover is shown in the Museum auditorium.
The Hoover Library - Museum is located on the grounds of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site and is administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site does not charge an entrance fee and is administered by the National Park Service.
All parking is free, there is a lot adjacent to the entrance to the Museum. There are additional parking lots on Parkside Drive, to access these turn left as you exit our drive, the Visitor Center has a parking lot on the left of Parkside Drive and there is a parking lot on the right hand side that will also accommondate RV's and buses.
The Museum is wheelchair accessible and the Herbert Hoover movie is closed captioned.
The Hoover Museum Store has a large selection of books and souvenirs on the life and times of Herbert Hoover, the American presidency, and the State of Iowa.
